Commercial Gas such as Butane and Propane are defined under LPG regulation BS: 4250  
Leakage of liquid from the cylinder will result in large volumes of flammable gas. As this gas is heavier than air, leaked gas will flow at ground level and can be ignited at a considerable distance from source.
It is for this reason that wherever possible gas bottles should be stored outside .
Cylinder stacks and cylinder areas situated outdoors are un zoned provided they comply with the following distance requirements. Furthermore there should be no cellars, pits or openings to buildings within 2m of the storage area.

The outlet valve of every cylinder should be kept closed while the cylinder is in storage. Plastic caps or plugs must be fitted to cylinders even when they are considered to be empty. Cylinders must be stored with their valve uppermost and at least one 9kg dry powder fire extinguisher must be kept within the vicinity of the storage area and serviced regularly.

If storage outside is impossible:
The Maximum weight of Lpg cylinders stored within a shop or office is 70kg, maximum cylinder capacity is 20kg or no more than 5 cylinders. If there is  residential  accommodation attached this is reduced t0 15kg.

The panels are manufactured from 2" x 1" Welded Mesh with 3mm diameter wire with a 25mm box section frame which are galvanized then black powder coated. If you have a wall you wish to incorporate into the pen you can attach our panels with wall plugs using the holes already available in the panels.

The below Chart Is a scale drawing of Common gas bottle types and how they fit into the gas bottle Storage panels. The cages can be extended in any combination of 2 feet sizes.

Example if you had 9 number 47kg propane bottles to store. You could do this in a 4ft x 4ft cage or a 12ft x 2ft cage.

Use for air conditioning cages

Air conditioning cages are widely used to stop rubbish getting into the units either naturally or through vandalism.

Air conditioning units are targeted for theft due to the high resale value the air conditioning cages help defend against this.
